From Alchemy to Destiny

The trajectory that has led to the upcoming Destiny Ignited 2026! and beyond has been an upward spiral, with each event elevating what came before, informing what wants to be, and reminding us that we do not know the entirety of the future outcomes, only that we are in service to it and will provide the space for it to be revealed

We grew from Alchemy, that began in 2015 in a basement of a church, to Destiny Ignited 2026! in our own major global conference. Here's our path so far...

2015- On Feminine Ground: The Alchemy of our Collective Wisdom and Strength An event produced by a collection of women's organizations where 80 women gathered in the basement of a church down the street from the convention center the morning of the opening of the Parliament of World's Religions. Inspirational speakers and table dialogues prepared us for the highly patriarchal environment we were about to step into for a week-long conference.

2018's Alchemy of Women's Collective Wisdom and Power was produced by us, along a local organization Sacred Women International, and another collection of collaborators, where 200 women met in the Grand Ballroom of the luxury Omni Hotel adjacent to the conference center for the Parliament and the morning of the opening ceremony.  We added a water ceremony, drumming, small circle dialogues, and a marketplace for women's merchandise and art.

In 2019, due to Covid, we hosted the next event online, again in conjunction with the Parliament of the World's Religions. We named it Alchemy of Women's Compassionate Action.

The Water Ceremony

In 2020 We brought Alchemy of Women and Girls Collective Wisdom and Power to the United Nations Commission on The Status of Women in New York. With indigenous wisdom keepers, speakers, and a water ceremony, we were hosted by and brought young women and girls from Henry Street Settlement, founded by suffragist Lillian Wald.

2023 The Women's Global Village was the next iteration of what wanted to be sprouted from the roots we had planted since 2015. We produced a week-long event at the Parliament in Chicago, taking over 1400 square feet in a main foyer. We stretched each element of our previous events over the course of a week, adding a water fountain, Red Tent room for sacred space and programming, a Mother Tree, engagement opportunities and interactive experiences, hanging hand painted silks with social-impact messages. We crowd-sourced solutions on posters. We invited attendees to bring items of nature from their corner of the world to add to the Earth Altar, and we provided materials so women could make their own crowns. Dale Allen recorded interviews of women in "Let Your Voice be Heard." With comfortable furniture, and circles of chairs for spontaneous conversations, we had no "walls" but tapestries of Women's Woven Voices story cloths from thousands of women all around the world.

GWV Co-Architect, Film Maker, Author Dale Allen captures the spirit of the Global Woman's Village.

The inspiration of everything we do here at The Global Woman's Village is to promote and elevate what it means to be a Women Who Futures a New Paradigm. We provide spaces to recognize women's authentic contributions to our world by becoming intimate with our sacred task and to lean to actualize our agency so that we are best prepared to live in that direction. We fundamentally belief this is our work to do as women.
